The elements of this project reflects influences of the interrogation techniques of the cold war, so often reflected in newspapers and documentaries. Another clear reference of the project is the projection of the bathroom inside the home in our society. Throughout history, the bathroom has been taking prominence in our homes, from ancient Rome where the bathrooms were public and were located on the outside, through the bathrooms of the collective houses in the post-industrial era to Today. The bathroom as a space is catching more and more prominence in the house.
The bathroom is becoming more and more a space intended for the cult of the body, a place where one can known himself better, a meeting place of relaxation and intimacy. That is why we raised the bathroom as the centre of this project. A place where you communicate with your real you, without fears and without taboo.
The influence on one side of the new exploration techniques of physical violence together with the development of the bathroom as a emerging place at home create the core of this project. The project is presented as a set of elements that help the practice of sexual games framed in sadomasoquism. Intends to present a consensual sexual practice by its participants, in which domination, submission, and the physical pain and mental take part in a normal sexual practice. In a normal sexual relationship within healthy and mature couple, far from the ballast that sickly society ascribes to it.
These elements framed in the bathroom had duality of uses, in one-hand start different sexual roles and in the other tale part of the environment of the bathroom. On one side are sex toys and other elements inside the bathroom. The user determines this use. The project will not only try to reflect on some sexual practice, it attempts at the same time to introduce questions about the materials being used in the bathroom. The use of unneeded space, such as those created between the tiles, the use of combinations of fabrics with polyurethanes, silicones, leather, pose solutions to problems within the objects intended for the bathroom. The deterioration of certain parts, to prevent accidents both young children and the elderly, the efficient use of the entire space of the room are solved thanks to a material and formal experimentation.
