As a result of winning a design competition organized by the online magazine Dezeen the Studio an Luis Eslava created a new collection of products made out of Tyvek. We called Tyvek World v_02.
A family of lamps with asymmetrical shades, a modular rug system, a set of geometric vases, spongy feeling chairs and a collection of fancy gold plated bags, where added to the Tyvek World collection.
All this products were showcased at 100% Design Tokyo Design week, in the Container Ground from the 30th of October to the 3rd of November 2008 where we created an installation where the wrinkles and the scratches define its character. The effect of the wrinkled walls in the container created a surprising effect and an installation that shows all the possibilities of this technological material.

Geo Vases "Gold Series" is a collection of vases made out of geometric patterns glued together with a hot melt adhesive. In this case the geometric patterns made out of Tyvek are combined with one that is electro-gold plated.
The combination between a high tech material as Tyvek with a precious material as gold gives to the collection a new expression.
The combination between these materials tries to explore how we can give a touch of exclusivity and luxury to materials that are produced using high tech industrial processes and seems raw materials.
Wrinlke's Beauty is a collection of chairs made out latex and Tyvek.
An internal structure of expanded foam creates a softy base where a Tyvek treated with latex create a wrinkled bundle.
